Nicholas II, a man who compared to the mighty Joseph Stalin, seemed more gentle and gentle in his degree of harshness. Although Nicholas II was a kind-hearted man, he was inexperienced in his role as tsar. This caused him to fail as Tsar and he consequently killed himself and his family. Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov, more commonly known as Tsar Nicholas II, was born in Pushkin, Russia, on May 18, 1869. Nicholas was the eldest son of Maria Feodorvovan, his mother. His mother "provided a nurturing family environment during Nicholas II's upbringing". Although he was very fond of his mother, his father, Alexander Alexandrovich, was his strongest influence. His father shaped “his religious and conservative values and his belief in autocratic rule.” ("Nicholas II." 1) Because Nicholas' father was the heir to the Russian Empire, Nicholas was able to be educated through a conglomeration of tutors, one of whom was a "high-ranking government official." Nicholas II excelled in his studies, especially in the areas of history and foreign languages. Studies of government and politics were missing from his education. ("Nicholas II." 1)In 1881, Alexander II, Nicholas' grandfather, was assassinated by a revolutionary bomber. Therefore Nicholas' father ascended the throne. Thirteen years later Alexander III died of kidney disease, which left his poorly trained son with little education in government and politics in the presidency of the royal family. Still mourning his father's death, he wasn't thrilled with this new responsibility. In July of that year, Nicholas II and his family were “brutally murdered by the Bolsheviks, certainly under the command of Vladimir Lenin. His death ends three hundred years of Romanov rule. His fatal mistakes in leading the army, other armed forces and the Russian people wounded him desperately. Ultimately, his mistakes and lack of experience were his biggest flaws.
