I decided to do my research paper on epilepsy and fibromyalgia because I was familiar with and had been diagnosed with this particular disease. Having the knowledge and learning facts about each disease can help prepare us as educators or whatever we choose to be in the future. We will soon be faced with people who may suffer from epilepsy or fibromyalgia, and learning the important facts about each disability can help us prepare to meet the needs of those we may be involved with in the future. How do people diagnosed with fibromyalgia or epilepsy live together? How can the social and psychological conditions that affect the person with epilepsy or fibromyalgia and everyone around them address the social and psychological conditions? Overall, how does that person learn to live a full, normal, productive life? Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease that causes widespread pain, widespread tenderness, and interferes with a person's ability to carry out daily activities. Epilepsy is a brain disorder that causes recurrent seizures. Epilepsy has many possible causes, including disease, brain injury, and abnormal brain development. In many cases, the cause of fibromyalgia and epilepsy is still unknown. The topic is interesting because I have dealt with illnesses in my family and in myself. Being diagnosed with epilepsy and fibromyalgia led me to become physically, mentally and socially challenged, but knowing helpful ways to prevent further damage helped me become the person I am today. This topic is worth considering because we can prevent any harm to our health in the future and also to help our peers who may be infected with epilepsy and fibromyalgia. Finding popular sources about epilepsy and fibromyalgia was quite difficult... middle of paper... drugs were invented that had fewer side effects. Treatment programs should be directed at symptom relief. The long-term goal of therapy should enable epileptics and fibromyalgia patients to lead an ordinary, productive and rewarding life, control the symptoms of seizures, eliminate or reduce the manifestations of epilepsy, improve aching pain and prevent relapses . The truth is that many individuals affected by these disorders are mostly intelligent, productive, normal people who are no more accident-prone than the rest of society. They usually have fewer workplace accidents and better attendance records. But overall we need to give them the opportunity to occupy their rightful place in society. Educate not only those diagnosed with fibromyalgia or epilepsy, but also inform family, friends, doctors and others interested in epilepsy.
