Over the last century, especially in the last twenty years, the earth has undergone unprecedented warming. A person's first response might be: why? Hasn't global warming always existed? YES. It has always been a threatening epidemic, but there have been obvious changes in the environment. With drastic climate changes, it is suspected that all the polar ice caps will melt by 2100. Many scientists have studied what could be the cause of this epidemic. The fact of the matter is that scientists have established what exactly causes it, namely high levels of carbon dioxide. Global warming is life-threatening and, for the most part, caused by the human race and our technological advances. A body of scientific evidence specifies that… “since 1950, the world's climate has warmed, primarily due to emissions from the uncontrolled burning of fossil fuels and the destruction of tropical forests” (Science). With this movement, the invisible blanket of the ether of carbon dioxide and other "greenhouse" gases that warm the earth is strengthened. In recent studies, research has revealed that “…methane, which flows from landfills, livestock and oil and gas facilities, is a close second to carbon dioxide in impact on the atmosphere” (Science). The standard view on global warming is split down the middle, but the majority believes that global warming exists, but is not invented or exacerbated by human activity. The problem with the standard view is that yes, there are other factors that are known to change temperature terrestrial, but it is obvious that pollution caused only by progress in technology and human development is the main cause. It is important to change the general vision can be developments to cure... middle of paper ......regressive and the Earth will continue to warm but if we reduce the use of technology and the development of new lands we can decrease the temperature of the earth. Obviously man has a role in increasing temperatures, but as already mentioned in the past drastic events have occurred climate changes. In the future there will certainly be terrible changes in the climate. As human beings we must do more to support this cause by reducing the use of technology and the destruction of nature.
