The bottom line is that marriage is not denied based on race or religion and should not be denied because of sexual orientation. Same-sex couples deserve the same rights and privileges as heterosexual couples. Medical benefits, tax benefits, legal and social benefits should be granted on an equal basis, regardless of a person's race, religion or sexual orientation. Love is not an emotion limited to heterosexual individuals. Same-sex couples deserve the right to express their love through marriage, just like everyone else
