Topic > Liposuction and its unnecessary dangers - 690

Almost every cosmetic surgery procedure has been advertised on television, on billboards and, arbitrarily, by celebrities who choose to go under the knife. While these are indeed potentially dangerous surgeries, most of them are not emergency or disease-based surgeries; these people who undergo plastic surgery want to do so at their own risk and pay thousands of dollars to get these procedures. The self-image enhancement for plastic surgery unintentionally gives plastic surgeons a negative and superficial connotation and places these patients who undergo surgery in unnecessary danger. One procedure in particular caught my attention: liposuction. This procedure is considered a norm in cosmetic surgery, but it has many complications that are overlooked due to the satisfaction that the procedure brings. By definition, liposuction, also called lipoplasty, is a cosmetic procedure that slims and changes shape in specific areas of the body. the body by removing fat deposits, improving body shape and proportions and, essentially, improving self-image. (1) Liposuction removes fat from all parts of the body, from the abdomen to the thighs to the chin. This procedure is usually combined with other cosmetic surgery procedures such as abdominoplasty or breast reduction. (1) These procedures are paired together because liposuction eliminates excess fat deposits, leaving a lot of sagging or extra skin surrounding the excess fat. This is the main reason for the liposuction-abdominoplasty combination. Another reason for combining procedures is because liposuction, alone, can sometimes leave the body looking disproportionate; Coupling procedures, such as breast reduction, with liposuction allow the plastic surgeon to but...... middle of paper ......incapable, and may face a malpractice lawsuit for causing a perforation visceral because he or she wasn't careful enough, made a mistake, or tried to do something blindly, causing the patient to have a more complicated procedure and possibly death. Liposuction, like all cosmetic procedures, is typically not urgent and is performed for people looking to improve their health. self-image. While these procedures are not urgent, they can still cause complications that can lead to additional procedures, money, malpractice lawsuits, and even death. While complications are unlikely, are procedures like liposuction worth the money and danger?
