(Journal Of Nursing Management 2014) Dissatisfied staff will have dissatisfied patients. Staffing appears to be a problem in acute care clinics. Medical TreatmentIn a nursing facility this is easier said than done. It is very important that all staff are on the same page regarding patient care, documentation and standard operating procedures. One way to have better communication is daily goal sheets, which will help staff know what is expected of them. (2015 NurseJournal) Daily goal sheets should be easily accessed and reviewed to ensure that a particular person is bombarded with additional tasks because he or she is an efficient worker. Inter-unit meetings should be held at least once a day. In meetings, daily goals are announced again to reinforce expectations. Nursing supervisors should also let this be a time for staff to express their concerns. This will provide management with ways to improve communication or conflict. It is very important that medical treatment facilities have sufficient staff to carry out these activities. To have a stronger team, each member must be informed about daily activities and changes. An unhappy team member will not stay where they are not appreciated. Dissatisfaction could lead to lack of nursing care. There are many simple steps that could be taken to establish nursing communication. A medical treatment facility must also take into account that changes do not happen overnight and not try to change everything at once from one day to the next. From the research it is clear that communication would solve so many problems. Patient and employee satisfaction. Management must lead by example and demonstrate that communication and teamwork will bring more rewarding results
