In high school, Coach Terrell would say the play he wanted the point guard to run, and then the point guard would yell it as he came off the floor for the rest of us to hear . Player-to-player communication was also huge because if you saw a guy cutting toward the basket and your teammate on that side didn't see him coming, you could yell at him and he could steal the pass from you. It is also important to know the physical cues, body language of your teammates because; if you pass the ball before your guy is ready, it can result in a turnover. A team that communicates effectively on and off the field will be successful
