I am Chandan Kumar Gupta from Kathmandu, Nepal, currently employed at Tata Motors Ltd. as a manager in Purchasing and Supply Chain department for the past four years. I appreciate this opportunity to introduce myself to the admissions committee and apply for the Master's Degree in Management Engineering at the esteemed Polytechnic University of Milan. I believe that my educational and professional path will allow me to make a strong contribution to the research and courses carried out for the Master's Degree. This academic goal is a natural step towards my ultimate professional ambition of pursuing an international career in logistics and supply chain management. I belong to a small town in Nepal, where I completed my secondary education, as a rank holder from Makwanpur district in 10th grade board exam, also commonly called Iron Gate in Nepal due to high failure rate. For achieving first position in the district I was awarded the "Juddha Bahadur Gold Medal" by the Makwanpur Chamber of Commerce. This achievement fueled my competitiveness and ignited a passion for academic excellence. For higher studies I moved to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, which has better schools and a higher level of competition which gives me the chance to compete with the best in my country. After completing my higher secondary education, I appeared for one of the most competitive exams in Nepal, conducted by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India under the “Nepal Aid Fund Scholarship”. I was among the few selected for the scholarship and got an opportunity to study at an Institute of National Importance in India, National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar on full scholarship. With a mix of emotions and expectations, I headed to India to pursue...... middle of paper......ong fundamental foundation in industrial engineering management, hone my skills in operations and management supply chain and expose me to diverse business environment which will broaden my horizons and give me a deeper understanding of various aspects of strategic business management. If I am given the opportunity to study a master's program, I will have the opportunity to interact with students from different professional and cultural backgrounds from all over the world. This exposure will provide me with an opportunity for interaction and integration of different ideas and will enable me to acquire the necessary skills that are advantageous in an ever-changing world and of great value to future employers. The Master will provide me with the springboard for my future career as a management professional. I look forward to starting a mutually beneficial association with your institution.
