It is important to protect children at all costs. It is necessary to protect children from the potential limitations of their socioeconomic status and safeguard them from violence. However, the way school uniforms are implemented today maintains the circumstances that advocates were trying to suppress. There is a way we can protect the interests of all students, regardless of their affiliation, religion, race, or socioeconomic status. I propose that students have access to a variety of clothing with the school logo on it. This can be anything from hoodies, sweatpants, t-shirts, khakis or polo shirts. Providing students with a variety of clothing options featuring the school logo presents a unique opportunity. If students choose to wear clothing with the school logo, this may be rooted in school pride since there are so many options available rather than a punitive and harsh measure. Creating a culture of wearing school logos is a much healthier way to combat the fear of being classified as low-income, especially since there would be several iterations of school attire. Additionally, students who are struggling financially can still wear uniform clothing without being penalized for the way it is worn or judged for wearing it. While there are multiple ways to show school pride through clothing, it is much more difficult to identify socioeconomic differences
