Whenever I am asked what my favorite subject is, Biology has been, and always will be, my only answer. It was disconcerting to compare my body to a harmoniously functioning machine. The digestive system, respiratory system, and circulatory system coordinate with each other right under my skin. Realizing that the "blue lines" visible under the flesh of my hands are actually veins carrying deoxygenated blood fueled my desire to learn more about how my body works. For me it has always been about getting to know myself better. Excelling in the field of biology is not only my dream, but my passion. I have started this journey of infinite discovery and I want to master this science. It would not be unjustified to say that the world is a better place today thanks to advances in biological sciences. It truly promises to be an ever-advancing profession on this planet where better treatments for newly determined diseases are needed on a daily basis.
