Well, that was me, or at least until seventh grade. I never had any problems with the test, I didn't understand why, it came naturally to me. I didn't study every time, check my class work, or do extra work to pass a test. It seemed like I learned everything when I was little. I thought everything would be “as easy as child's play”. Of course me, being me, thought (or knew at the time) that 7th place would be a piece of cake. I believed it until the end of the first week of school. On the Monday of the second week of school, things seemed to quickly get more difficult. The knowledge that seventh grade (especially math) wasn't going to be easy as I thought quickly settled into my mind. Seventh grade was extremely difficult, at least for me, one of the first grades I got was a sixty-five, mostly because I didn't have good study habits. It was extremely difficult, I remember my friends asking me: "What grade did you get?" I was always embarrassed and angry at myself. I knew I could do better than what I did. When I got home that day, the first thing I did was try to study. It didn't work for me at first, because I hadn't studied. I didn't have any study habit as when I was younger I didn't study at all. I had to ask my mother to help me study, she helped me study all week and the next week when I took the test, I had a great result. I was extremely happy and when my friends ask me: "What grade did you get?" I responded with a “One hundred. What about you?" with the biggest smile on my face. I was on top of the world. The great thing is that I have a study habit built into me now, so I'm ready for all the hardships of eighth grade.
