Home Pages is a film released in 2004 and to this day it is still one of the most successful films that was directed… If you haven't seen this movie, that's okay. The Notebook is about this poor, passionate man named Noah who falls in love with a girl named Allie. Since this famous novel became a film that was one of Nicholas Sparks' most successful films, it is clear that I will analyze this book in comparison to many of his other famous novels such as The Walk To Remember, Dear John, The Longest Rides, etc . With this novel becoming a huge hit in theaters, I'm going to dig into a deeper thought about why those other films didn't do as well as The Notebook. The notebook is full of touching moments from the beginning to the end of the story. This is a story we dream about and wish to live with our loved one one day. Say no to plagiarism. Get an Original Essay The beginning of the story is important because that's when we find out that Allie has a terrible illness that has lasted for a few years. This disease he has is Alzheimer's dementia, it is a disease that causes you to forget everything you remembered before at once. At the beginning of the story Noah grew up in the nursing home where he lives. He does the same thing every morning, takes his medicine and books. He then proceeds along the corridors of the nursing home hearing the nurses muttering to each other under their breath whether today will be a good day or a bad day. When he arrives in Allie's room, he sits in the chair waiting for her to finish getting ready so he can start reading the book for the hundredth time. When everyone left the room it was time for him to start reading her notebook, but the hard thing is, will she remember? The story will go from the present to the past, so throughout the reading we will face many flashbacks of their being together during the summer. Since this film became one of Nicholas Sparks' most successful films, there were many questions as to why this film was the best among all the others. With this film released in 2004, people today will still consider it one of their all-time favorites. If you are not a fan of love or sadness, then I suggest you don't watch this movie. But with Nicholas Sparks coming out with this movie, a lot of reviews I've seen say this movie is romantic and sensational, it's a story that is told at its best. The Notebook was used in descriptive language, universal themes and was a well-developed expression of a man's true love and devotion. The film or novel is something that almost anyone could relate to. Works CitedSparks, N. (1996). The notebook. Grand Central Editions. Sparks, N. (1999). A walk to remember. Warner Books. Sparks, N.
