Plastic pollution and its consequences. The world's population lives, works and vacations along the coasts. They are contributing to an unprecedented wave of plastic waste. Pollution is defined as the process that alters a substance or molecule on planet earth, pollution is caused by the physical contact of a decaying organic particle with a clean particle at the same point, when the two particles come together it is when pollution occurs where the environment is significantly altered. Too many, plastic is a modern miracle, versatile, inexpensive and durable (Rochman 2014). For others it is a plague, a non-degradable pollutant that threatens to suffocate the global environment. Plastic pollution has led to the death of many animals, natural resources, and people (Rochman 2014). It's time to change America's way of thinking and learn from the mistakes of the past. Plastic pollution negatively affects America's future. The origin of this environmental pollution is caused by the excessive lack of ethics that human beings are equipped with. Many times, people throw garbage into the streets, seas, etc. Not knowing that this would seriously change the environment and conditions of planet earth. Environmental pollution is found in many places such as plastic products, cleaning products, food, animals, personal care products and the most dangerous thing is the environment where the oxygen we breathe and share with other living beings (Eriksen 2013). Environmental pollution produces bacteria which results in diseases and disorders in humans, animals, agricultural plantations. The pollution process occurs when toxins are released into groundwater from landfills, this pollution remains in the environment for hundreds of years, as they disintegrate… into the middle of paper… convert plastic waste into useful products are affected by pollution; this contamination is found inside the containers in which the plastic is collected. But the risk of pollution itself has negative consequences because workers and people responsible for cleaning and disinfecting plastic materials are not doing their best to eliminate plastic waste and to disinfect infected bacteria and microorganisms from the atmosphere and the 'environment. Organizations from China and India are the largest in the world, collecting and purchasing used plastic from the United States, Europe, Asia, and Latin America (Minguez 2013). These companies don't bother to disinfect the products before the recycling process; for this reason planet earth is worsening environmental conditions, and is destroying lives of living beings, as well as natural resources (Uddin 2014).
