ASSIGNMENT – STAFF DILEMMA AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Problem relating to the use of company resources. The dilemma I choose here is “Enterprise Resource Problem”. I have always been honest, reliable, punctual with exceptional relationship management skills and proven ability to create business alliances for smoother operations. As a worker I care about ethics because most of us prefer to work for ethical organizations. Therefore the value that matters most is always to be faithful and not to love people or events that are not in line with my thoughts. I appreciate people who take a logical and systematic approach to solving problems and maintaining the highest quality standards while minimizing costs, and the issue here is related to company resources. Here the co. employee Pat Brown, who files a claim for fraud charges on the restaurant's account and doesn't even attend the conference on any day. On the other hand I consider myself an enthusiastic, highly motivated and hard working person and I enjoy being part of the team as a contributing member and expect the same from others. I respect my colleagues and take pride in my work, but the colleague here does not live up to the values I described above. I believe it is unethical behavior by Pat which may be a result of company policies on HR week. LINES OF ACTION The two lines of action I would like to take in this situation for the well-being of both the company and the employee will be described below: 1. To explain the ethical/moral values to Pat First of all I would like to approach the situation by warning Pat that you didn't do your job what you were asked to do (by attending the week-long seminar)... middle of paper... ... moral judgment on that issue. It will ask the manager to set the intention to act based on the judgment, what he thinks is right in that case and ultimately act according to the manager's intention.
