"Just tell me what happened," the detective spat at Harper. “I already told you what-----” Harper replied. "Well, tell me again!" he interrupted. “Okay,” Harper said rolling her big brown eyes, rolling her short brown eyes and kicking her narrow feet on the metal table in front of her. “Get those dirty feet off the table!” the detective growled. “Do you want me to tell you the story or not, Dad? I'm not getting any younger! He said. Harper has always been a bit of a snob. “Okay,” he said through his teeth. “Great, now that we've reached an agreement,” he said, flashing his white teeth. “I was sleeping when I heard screaming. I ran down the hall and then into the bathroom, where I heard the screaming coming from,” she paused, “This…” she trailed off, looking at the tiled floor, “It was my father… my so-called 'mother' had stabbed him in the chest right where the heart was. When I arrived they were both covered in blood and panting. I can't say I'm surprised they always fought, it was only a matter of time before one of them broke down. She ran away and I don't know where she is, but sir ---” “Finish your story,” the detective interrupted. She swallowed. “After that coward ran away I called the police but when they got to my house my father was dead, I was covered in blood and my mother was long gone,” she said looking at the detective. "Do you believe me?" Harper asked with wide eyes. “Harp----” he began. “I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME that you call me Alex. Harper is my mother's name," she interrupted. “Don't give me any of that bullshit! I want a straight answer!" She screamed in his face. “No… no, I don't believe you,” the detective said, avoiding Harper's wide eyes. “I want my lawyer,” she said as hot tears ran down her body. pale,... in the center of the paper... we expected to hear a grand piano. “Let's jump,” Ponny said casually. Oh my God, exactly what I didn't want, Alex thought. “Okay, let's go to -----” the door on the roof swung open. Guards swarmed around them ready to fire. Ponny and Alex backed to the edge of the roof. “Ponny,” Alex said nervously. "Yes?" Ponny asked. "I'm afraid of heights," I thought you -----" Ponny started to ask. "Well, I lied," Alex interrupted. "Any other bombs you'd like to drop?" Ponny asked annoyed. "Before us.. .you know, he added. “Yes, actually,” Alex said as he carefully turned to Ponny. “No matter what happens, you're my best friend,” Alex said proudly to Ponny. “You're my best friend too! " Ponny glowed. Then the annoyed guards shot them both. They went over the edge of the roof, falling to the ground below them, like best friends.
