What the people supporting McInerney hadn't fully taken into account were the outcomes of the case. A student was brutally hit in the back of the head by another classmate in front of all his classmates. There should have been a deeper analysis of all those affected by the crime and malice instead of focusing on the life of the killer. There should also be a critical assessment of how long the recovery process might take, if there is a recovery process at all. The focus should be on the victims of crime rather than comforting the criminal, and that goes for everyone
