Clotho didn't make it through the night. Jim walked out of the operating room and dropped into a chair just outside. His gaze never stopped looking forward as Chandi rose from a chair on the opposite side of the door, looking at him with a sort of hopeful expectation. That hope was dashed the moment he saw her pale face. “W-what…happened…?” Chandi asked already expecting the worst. “I… I couldn't save her. The wounds... were inflicted by some kind of power I had never seen before. Every time I tried to close the wounds… it was as if that power was determined to kill her.” Jim muttered in a slightly delirious tone. Without a word, Chandi took a deep breath and let it sit for a few seconds before exhaling. A flash of the Angels' power appeared in her mind for a second but she pushed it away. Now with a clear mind, he slapped Jim across the face, shaking him out of his state of shock. "Thanks..." Jim murmured when he finally untied his mask. "Now that you have come to your senses, have you managed to take any examples of the power you spoke of?" Chandi asked and Jim just nodded slightly. “I will have my assistant take it to my main laboratory so I can perform an analysis on the composition of the magic. It must have been a powerful curse to do something like that…” Jim almost rambled on at this point trying not to think about what he was seeing. “Your assistant is passing this on to your lab?! You should take it for yourself and find out everything you can! Chandi exploded when she heard what he had to say while Jim just looked at her in shock at her sudden outburst. "What exactly happened?" Jim finally asked the question. “I…I can't say right now. I'm sorry, please hurry up with the analysis. He's an important piece for... half the card... and he's a real threat to this world! Isn't there anyone who cares about our future?!” Chandi thought as she ran through the corridors of the Assembly Hall when she was suddenly stopped by a voice. “So you finally found out about the Angelus.” Schlange stated causing Chandi to turn her head towards him while leaning against a nearby wall. «And to think that you even clashed with the leader of the Seraphim and survived. Seraphiel was the name, right? We have no information on her, so this is very helpful." "Do you… know those angels?" Chandi said in shock as she continued to look at him. "But of course, what do you think I've been trying to achieve all this time? We have to organize our people to be ready for the next invasion. We could use your information, so why don't you join us, the Illuminati?" Schlange asked, holding out his hand to Chandi.
