Other pre-trial duties that paralegals can perform, if necessary, include reserving hotels, offices or other necessities in the event that a trial takes place in another city or village. During a trial, paralegals continue to organize documents, evidence, or other files for the attorney's use. They may also help prepare witnesses, interact with the other party or court employees, pull files for the attorney's use, or even assist with jury selection and instruction. At the end of the trial, paralegals can also help with the resolution or appeal of a case, gathering the information needed to write the settlement.
