Every year we leave the city to walk through the Christmas lights and scenery. Christian, Ethan and Kayla get overly excited the entire way. When we arrive at dusk, the front gate tells us to tune into our radio station on 96.3. I turn to that radio station and slow, soothing Christmas music begins to flow through the speakers. It's so relaxing. We begin to descend along the black paved path with large red and white candy canes leading the way. There are bright lights everywhere. My eyes try to focus on a particular section of lights, but my eyes can't, there are so many. Even so, it's so beautiful. The children are in the back seat, looking out the window, not even saying a word. As we slowly approach we notice that the light is on the buildings. Some lights go straight through others that go diagonally through buildings. The shining lights are everywhere left and right. The lights also move to the rhythm of slow, relaxing music. All you see are red, green, yellow, pink and blue lights full of colors that move in motion with the song. It's amazing. As the car continues to move along the path, the manger with baby Jesus is next. When you approach this barn with the open front and hay for the floor. Mary, Joseph, the Magi, baby Jesus and the animals are all there. Suddenly the music stops and a story about the birth of Jesus begins. My children love listening to the story. After the story ends we follow the path to the exit. Suddenly everyone's talking like, "Did you see when the lights were going back and forth?" "Did you see the nativity scene?" We all talk about it on the drive home. It's an experience all in itself. I'm happy that Christmas music and lights can bring my family
