And yes, that will be a little story to tell your guests at home, not just a delicious handmade dish. There are many places in Italy (and Europe) where ceramics are made, by hand or otherwise. However, historically these places were mainly concentrated around clay deposits and, even if the deposits have disappeared or logistics dictate otherwise, most producers remain by tradition, centuries of branding and, consequently, because very often they are a small family business. – they simply live there for many, many years or even centuries.
