IntroductionOrganisations and the management of work relationships are two complex aspects of our daily functioning environment. Over the years it has been evident that times have changed a lot; in everyday life you can easily notice an increase in the number of women who have found work, in all sectors on a global scale. Yet, despite pursuing high standards of education and professional skills, they still lag behind in the corporate world, due to discrimination. Discrimination against women at work has several aspects; unequal pay, weakened skills, segregation in some divisions and jobs, work-home balance along with sexual harassment are just some of the issues at play. Although there are still cases of discrimination and unfair treatment towards women nowadays, the beginning of this dates back many decades. Discrimination against women in the job market has been greater in the past and although the numbers are more encouraging in the current state, there is still a need for critical changes.
