In America the food is generally not as healthy as Chinese rice, but it depends on what you eat. There are burgers and fries with a large Coke in almost every restaurant in the United States. There are many different countries. US customs vary. In most families they are very forgiving and don't get bent out of shape if you don't do exactly what they are doing or eat all the food they have prepared for you. They may find it rude if you gulp the pasta or chew with your mouth open. Unlike the United States, in China it's perfectly fine to gobble noodles. Doing so is even considered a compliment to the chef. Sucking is said to improve the flavor. In China, pasta and rice are highly prized and people eat them with chopsticks. Some people living in China prefer a fork or spoon for some dishes, but most prefer to use chopsticks for everything. In China it is considered rude to eat all the food on your plate.
