Since reading Austin, I find that I am too attached to the terminology (and especially the philosophical aspects) that the authors use in their piece. I have had limited exposure to philosophy in general and find that I spend a lot of my reading time defining some of the academic terms in the pieces but not quite understanding them well. For example, the relationship between the themes of Austin, Derrida and Butler is becoming clearer to me as we go along, but I think I could benefit from some more private discussions during a personal meeting to better understand the terms and ideas that they represent. build out.
