Music has accompanied people for thousands of years. Since it can be easily spotted in Greek mythologies as well as the Bible, music is one of the aspects that humans cannot forget or eradicate from this world effortlessly. Since the creation of music, many different musical “eras” have become evident in the world such as the medieval era with Marcabru, Solage, the Renaissance era with Josquin des Prez, the Baroque era with Francesco Cavalli, the classical era with Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, Leopold Mozart, the Romantic era incorporating Franz Schubert and Frédéric Chopin and finally the 20th century music of Claude Debussy and Arnold Schoenberg. Returning to the question of whether classical songs have an effect on sick people, there is a treatment commonly used in psychiatric hospitals called music therapy. Music therapy is used with individuals of various ages, abilities and musical backgrounds in institutional, community and private settings. This includes many diseases such as acquired brain injury, AIDS, autism and other pervasive developmental disabilities, critical care, developmental disabilities, emotional trauma, geriatric care, hearing impairment, mental health, neonatal care, obstetrics, oncology, shrimp control , palliative care, personal growth, physical disabilities, speech and language disorders, substance abuse, adolescents at risk, victims of abuse and visual disorders. These are some examples of the areas in which patients can improve their condition through musical pieces: improved spirit and mobility of people with Parkinson's disease, decreased dependence on sedatives and painkillers, decreased nausea during chemotherapy, reduced anxiety, lowered blood pressure, relieved depression, and increased… middle of paper… including nausea, dizziness, tiredness, and itching. Therefore he had to undergo many types of medications and procedures, making him reluctant to alternative methods such as meditation, hypnosis and acupuncture. But the method he relied on most was music. Then Paul met a professional rock musician, songwriter and artist named Jonathan Auerbach through the music therapy program. Thanks to Auerbach's enlightenment, the Rockin' Time Jam Workshops were created, where Jonathan and Brian come together to help pediatric cancer patients find their purpose by trying to become musicians. Paul was finally able to enjoy time spent with other kids seeking respite from cancer. However, this story of Paul is just one of many accounts in music therapy programs, which guide people to heal and gain hope to challenge their illness..
