Time passed quickly as people grow old. Every year many people around the world celebrate New Year's Eve to say goodbye to the past year and welcome the one to come. As in all cultures of the world New Year is celebrated, in Asia the Lunar New Year is the traditional holiday that people celebrate that year according to the lunar calendar. Vietnam is also one of the countries that celebrates the Lunar New Year. However, before the Vietnamese left their country, they learned and followed their traditional lifestyle during the Lunar New Year celebration. After the Vietnam War, Vietnamese expatriates left their homeland to another country to find freedom, a better life, and a better community. At the same time, they will not forget their traditional Lunar New Year celebration holiday in a new land, because they hope for a freedom coming to their land and happiness. For example, the Vietnamese have the red envelope which means prosperity. and the fortune that has blessed from the eldest to the youngest. It also means that many exchange good wishes, longevity, prosperity and wealth for happiness for the coming year with a blessed person. As for food, nothing can replace sticky rice and dried young bamboo soup in Vietnamese New Year dinner. It is a must for the Vietnamese New Year dinner tradition and is also believed to be a good luck charm and a great fairy tale story behind the New Year dinner. Also, with the decoration of faith in spells, Vietnamese people decorate their house with flowering plants such as cherry blossoms, yellow apricot flowers to welcome the new year ahead. Flowering plants mean bringing a new spring season to the family, a feeling of happiness, warmth, color in many Vietnamese homes and a happy feeling of luck
