Numerous organizations have used organizational development techniques to achieve organizational effectiveness. According to Najmin (2012), organizational effectiveness uses applied psychology to bring about changes in different aspects of the organization. Such elements include the culture, management styles and communication techniques in a company. Similar techniques apply to the Coco Cola Company which had poor utilization of its staff, resulting in high employee turnover. Additionally, the company employed few innovative strategies until recently, when there was a shift in the soft drink market driven by healthcare-sensitive companies. The company therefore needs organizational development interventions that allow it to reach higher levels of effectiveness. That said, the research examines other organizational development research as well as an evaluation of other organizations that have used OD interventions to achieve organizational effectiveness. First, the study will interview executives, mid-level managers, and general-level employees at organizations like JetBlue and Google who have had successful OD interventions in the workplace with permission from top executives. During interviews, I will record interviewees' answers on a document and later on computer files for analysis purposes. Furthermore there will be the possibility of carrying out telephone interviews or busy managers which I will record and store on a computer in electronic format. Second, I will use questionnaires to reach out to general purpose employees about their opinion of their organization's OD interventions. Finally, I will obtain information from secondary sources such as peer-reviewed journals and textbooks to decipher the best interventions applicable to Coco Cola Inc. The research had four central hypotheses. First, interventions that have been successful in other organizations are relevant to Coco Cola Inc. Most OD interventions apply to numerous organizations, as they tend to target human behavior as an agent of organizational change. Consequently, interventions that have worked in other agencies may also work for Coco Cola Company. Second, research would establish that top management had a significant influence on the success of OD interventions. According to Najmin (2012), most ineffective organizations have weak leadership. Therefore, upper leadership must change so that junior employees can follow in their footsteps. Furthermore, through evaluating other research on organizational development interventions, it would be possible to find interventions that would work for Coco Cola Company. Most of the research under review evaluated interventions from different companies operating in various parts of the world. The findings would offer valuable insights into what kinds of interventions would work for Google given that it is a multinational company. Finally, the document anticipates the discovery that some interventions are effective only for some companies while they are not applicable to others. For example, interventions applicable to Apple Inc. may not apply to Coco Cola Inc. because the two companies operate in different industries and therefore serve customers with different needs. I conducted two interviews in different locations. The first was at Facebook Inc..
