Topic > Importance of Perspective and Optimism in Life

Perspective and optimism together are an invaluable weapon in combating the negative aspects of life. They get us out of bed in the morning and creep into even the most routine activities of the day. They illuminate our interactions with others, deepen our appreciation for family and friends, and inspire us to work harder. Perspective keeps us afloat when we experience disappointment and reminds us that nothing is too big to overcome. Optimism helps us see potential in unexpected situations and recognize how adversity often pushes us closer to our dreams. Optimism not only leads to individual success, but also multiplies the positive, sometimes unwanted, effects that touch the lives of others. Say no to plagiarism. Surrounding myself with people like Rylie, who are super reassuring and positive, helps me maintain a positive outlook. It helps me maintain joy in my life, rather than being overwhelmed by setbacks. Optimism to me means believing in yourself and maintaining a positive outlook on life. This perspective helps give me the confidence to be myself and express my individuality, which translates into making friends with others who have an inner optimism. From the moment I started picking up a volleyball, I knew this was what I was passionate about. Over the past few years, I have had the opportunity to visit potential colleges where I could continue my career. Even though I dreamed of playing college volleyball at a division one school only to be disappointed. When I started reaching out to college coaches, I didn't get the feedback I expected. This led to many doubts creeping into my mind. I would wonder if I would ever get that phone call that would change my life. Then I started to change my mentality and have a more positive attitude. Looking at the sunny side every time I stepped on the volleyball court helped me play with passion. Finally, I got that phone call one day after visiting a campus.
