A huge role model in my life is singer and musician Tyler Joseph. He is the lead singer of his two-man band, "Twenty One Pilots", and writes all the songs for the band. Their fans call themselves "the Clique", or "Clikkies", officially called the "Worldwide Skeleton Clique". In this clique the fans are part of a very close-knit community and are very up close and personal with their music. There are over 10 million members/fans of the clique. The only thing that separates a clique member from a regular fan is one's labeling. A fan usually considers himself a member of the clique if he goes out of his way to buy merchandise, is dedicated to the band and its music, or has liked them for a long time, but anyone can call themselves that, regardless of these things. No one, not even deep web researchers, knows how Tyler and fellow band member and drummer Josh Dun actually met, because they make up a story every time the question comes up. This also applies to their logo. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get Original Essay Later in the band's career, the other two members left. One of them later became one of the managers/supervisors of Twenty One Pilots. When Tyler began writing his first official album, "Regional at Best", Josh was brought into the band. They continued to make more albums and with that came more fans. Twenty One Pilots' fan base began to grow and the band became more and more recognized, and even won a Grammy for their album "Blurryface", which they took in their underwear. Twenty-one pilots now have their most recent album, “Trench,” which has a chance of being nominated twice for a Grammy. Their single, "Jumpsuit" from the album Trench, is also nominated for song of the year. Previously, they have won as many awards as eighth graders (including nominations). Growing up, Tyler was an athletic and intelligent student. He lived (and still does) in Columbus, Ohio. He played sports from an early age and started playing basketball when he was 6 years old. His mother, Kelly Joseph, was the local basketball coach and was very supportive of Tyler and his basketball career. One Christmas he bought Tyler a keyboard, which he never stopped using. It was stored in a closet and he had completely forgotten about it. Tyler says one day he was bored and went rummaging through his closet. He found the keyboard, took it out, and started playing the preset tracks. He said it occurred to him that those song pieces once didn't exist and that someone had simply created them, because he wanted to. He thought to himself “I want to do this” and started writing little rhythms on the keyboard. He kept at it and went to a singing coach (which, he says, his mother forced him to do). When college came around, Tyler turned down a college basketball scholarship opportunity so he could pursue his music career. At the time, he was dealing with a lot of depression and anxiety and wrote his songs as a way to escape it, as well as using them as a basis. Josh and Tyler probably knew each other before Tyler's music career, but there is no information about it. This was around the time Josh was brought into the band as the drummer and also played other background instruments. Since then the two have been inseparable and travel together even when they are not on tour. Tyler married his wife, Jenna Joseph (formerly Jenna Black) on March 8, 2015. The two support each other and Tyler says Jenna supports and helps him when it comes to music. One of the songs on her new album titled "Smithereens" was written especially for her. Jenna never misses her concerts and tours with him. Also Josh's girlfriend, the actress.
