Older generations disapprove of our misuse of technology and behavior. As a young African American teenager I too am constantly judged, this because of the actions done by others my age. Unfortunately, a person's negative behavior automatically creates an image for those of the same color, gender, and/or age group. This makes it incredibly difficult for teenagers to be taken seriously. Just because my peers behave a certain way doesn't mean that older people should have the right to assume that we are all the same. What I find the best part about being a teenager nowadays While being a teenager nowadays has its challenges, it also has its incentives. It is understandable that our generation has changed the world in many ways, but overall the change has had a very positive impact. Technology, for example, before our generation, technology progressed at an extremely slow pace. Now, not only are cell phones basically computers, but also gadgets that help in everyday life such as navigation systems, smart vehicles, smart homes and even robots! The Millennial generation has made the world tech-savvy. I believe teenagers are the future. Not only in technology but also in social reform. Many of us want to see change and we are doing what it takes to make that change happen. The best part about being a teenager in this era is the fact that we are the reason for so many amazing and brilliant events and ideas that have come to fruition.
