Topic > Analysis of Strangers In The Land - 1035

Immigration and unions are one of the most important parts of US history in my opinion. The abolition of slavery led to immigration and freedom in America for foreigners and equality would soon follow. Strangers in the Land helps me realize the struggle that immigrants and foreigners faced in becoming citizens of the United States. They had to fight hard to earn their freedom and rights as citizens. Immigrants and foreigners have a different experience in America than those who are American and born in the United States. I think this book opened my eyes to the struggle that immigrants faced. It made me gain a whole new respect for them and I now look at them differently, but in a good way. I would like to use this book as a reference for someone who is still unsure about having immigrants and foreigners in the United States
