There is no reliable legitimate figure on the amount of casualties in organizations in Nigeria. The reason for this is that organizations are not inclined to share the issue with the public, as they fear they could be punished and have a bad reputation for not managing health and safety issues sufficiently and effectively, which means therefore they will have to reimburse the sufferers. Another problem is that employees in Nigeria are unaware of their right to work in a safe workplace and are liable to receive reimbursement due to physical or metallic side effects of their work.
