There are many things in this world that people have to decide for themselves. An important choice would be to decide to go against the government if you believe it is wrong. Some circumstances in which opposing the government is acceptable are when they deny individual rights and when they cannot be trusted. One cause for disobeying the government could be because it is taking away individual freedom. Rosa Parks was denied individual freedom to sit on a particular bus seat because of the color of her skin. (Dove) Another individual freedom that many people defend is religious freedom. The Bill of Rights was formally adopted in 1791, and America has enjoyed legal protection of religious freedom ever since. This is also stated in the American Constitution.
