Topic > Self Portrait: Self Portrait: Fruits and Vegetables

I used vegetables for my neck, nose, ears, eyebrows, ponytail and part of my hair. I used peppers for most of my hair, but added some fruit too. I like my hair, but it's a constant battle when you're a mother of four. I like it when I have time to make it look decent, but I don't like it when I'm in a rush and packing it up. I chose peppers because it's part of the culture to always cook with them. Peppers are always added to our meals. It might be part of the main entree or served with chips and salsa, but it never fails. My eyebrows are as long as green beans. I also added a little coriander because even though my eyebrows are as thin as green beans they can get out of control if not maintained. I also used green beans for the ears but placed them more towards the outside. Our family comes from a generation with long, thin ears that are very unique in standing out. For my nose I used pumpkin because it is thin at the top and gets bigger at the bottom. My nose is the same way, but sometimes I don't like how big it looks. I used a variety of greens for the neck. Vegetables for me equate to healthy eating. I put them around my neck because when I try to eat some I feel suffocated because I don't like them even though I know it's the best thing for me
