Have you ever gone to the store and nothing you tried felt right? How would you feel if people made fun of you for being overweight? Have you ever felt like you can't do certain things because you're overweight? How would you feel if you looked at a fashion magazine and knew that you couldn't wear the clothes advertised in it? Many people in our society feel this way every day! It is becoming a big problem for Americans, our lifestyles, the food we eat are all things that contribute to this problem. Restaurants like McDonalds, Taco Bell and Burger King play an important role in this. Another factor that contributes to obesity is our lifestyle. The problem is that obesity plays a negative role in our society because it doesn't let you live the life you want. How do people become overweight and obese? This results from an “energy imbalance”. The definition of energy imbalance is “The difference between the scheduled delivery and actual use of energy at a specific point in a utility's distribution system over a period of time, usually monitored hourly and measured in kilowatts. Being overweight and obese can also result from poor eating habits. Bad eating habits include living on junk food and/or high-calorie processed foods. But the main reason for overweight and obesity is lack of exercise. Examples of this are spending too much time on the computer and watching too much television. The problem is that obesity plays a negative role in society because it doesn't let you live the life you want.
