Look at all the images we see with tanned, shiny, slim, glowing and sparkling bodies; the women with the perfect jawline, makeup and whose faces never age for many years that have passed, yet remain as beautiful as ever. Does any of this make sense or sound familiar? The results lead many women to spend thousands of money and time to become a beauty queen. Children, adolescents and women are attracted to what the media portrays of an ideal woman: unhealthy and her body image. We are so caught up in the media and what we see in it is “perfection”, it is self-destruction. Children and teenagers are sexualized too young. They participate in beauty pageants. Their needs and desires are higher than usual, they want to look good and behave like a woman. One of their biggest dreams is to become a super model when they grow up. All they want to be is what they see on TV and what we are as role models for them.
