Have you ever wondered what a black hole is or what happens if you enter one??? Well, now you have the chance to discover them. There are many theories about black holes and whether they are real or not. But black holes exist. Karl Schwarzschild is the founder and master of the theory of black holes. Black holes are mainly found within the Milky Way. There are many types of galaxies and many different types of black holes. A normal galaxy has gas and stars. Black holes refer to stars, and nothing light or any kind of matter is able to escape the gravitational pull of that black hole. Black holes are the last in the series after neutron stars and white dwarfs. Black holes are about 10-15 times more massive than the Sun itself. When the black hole reaches its final "stage", it explodes in a supernova. Most of the debris is also left behind and fusion can no longer occur. The black hole will collapse or close in on itself if no force opposes gravity. Nuclear fusion creates some energy and pressure with the black hole's gravity. Then, without any force, the black hole shrinks until it reaches zero volume. Black holes attract all kinds of matter. Black holes are small, but you wouldn't think they are. They may be small but they have the energy to suck things into them. The normal diameter of a regular black hole is 4 times the diameter of the Sun. Because they are small, distant and dark, they could not be seen or observed. Now, if you get too close to one, you could die. So black holes are still a mystery to be solved. Black holes have enormous weight and become larger the more matter they suck in/absorb. Black holes are like the brothers of wormholes. Black...... in the center of the paper...... hole. The opening of a black hole is called the event horizon. And once something gets inside, it gets trapped inside forever. Light, matter and other things cannot escape. The radius of each event horizon is called the Schwarzschild radius, named after Karl Schwarzschild, the person who developed the theory of black holes. A black hole is when there is a strong gravitational pull and there has been a time delay. All the light that can't escape seems pretty complicated. Why? Because when you think about it, the fact that light can't escape the black hole doesn't seem very realistic. Black holes are created by the overdensity of a star collapsing on itself. That overdensity is what creates the whole black hole part, the concept of the black hole sucking things in and possibly destroying them without a trace, that's the part that makes it seem weird.
