Most weekends during my summer vacation were spent on the beach where I could relax and reflect on what would happen after that point in my life. As a result I began to see the world differently and noticed how the water and the sky were completely independent of each other, even though they seemed connected. I was a reflection of that image, because I always wanted to achieve independence without knowing I was connected to the world. Nonetheless, I told myself that the first step to achieving independence was to start university. Two months later it was time to enroll in college. After that moment, I am confident that my university journey will help me become an independent, responsible and mature adult. Now that I am in college, I am exploring and seeking better opportunities to become more independent and responsible for my actions. I always told myself that the first thing I would explore while in college was finding ways to mature in my decision making. Then, I will be better prepared for adulthood to face and repair the barriers that come my way
