It all started with a man named Rick who was a treasure hunter. He traveled throughout Egypt to find gold and jewels in various historic temples. This time he was in Karnak and searched the Temple of Amon-Ra, the home of the sun god. Rick has assembled a selective team to help him in his exhibit. They were searching for the Book of Amun-Ra, also known as the Book of the Living. This book was the opposite of the Book of the Dead, instead of giving life to those who died to continue in the afterlife, the Book of Amun-Ra took life. The real reason Rick was looking for this book was because it was made of solid gold. The team had a systematic method of searching for locations, so they started with the first step. This was to map out the temple so they knew how much land there was to explore. The team was also cautious in finding all the exits of the temple in case of emergency. They then set up a base camp in the center of the temple, so that there would be a central place for all of them to meet. The final step was to begin the research. Rick had the foresight to read the hieroglyphics on the walls to see if there were any clues as to where the Book of Amun-Ra was hidden. Rick noticed that on the wall was a story of a pharaoh, who was very meticulous. He would send armies to conquer the Nile, which was a vital factor in the economy of any city. It was used for trade, irrigation and even drinking water. Whoever controlled the Nile controlled Egypt. There were many battles and Pharaoh was conquering more and more of the Nile but many soldiers were dying. Instead of being judicious in bringing his troops home and appreciating the ground he had conquered, he decided to fight for something more. People didn't like that at all... middle of paper... Rick arrived home. The team got together and told everyone the story from that perspective. Everyone present could not believe how lucky they were to survive, and were very grateful that the team had managed to escape with the precious cargo. Finally the moment came when the museum curator brought the entire team on stage and personally thanked each of them for their more than generous contribution to the museum. There was a large chest with a curtain on top, and the curator took it out revealing the Book of Amun-Ra. The Book shone brightly and filled everyone's eyes with joy. The beauty of the gold was a true delight to behold. Rick's eyes began to water as he saw his little girl acting and smiling at the glittering book. Seeing his daughter smile for a moment made it worth risking his life and being away from his family.
