The first court officials I came into contact with seemed very knowledgeable about their assigned duties, but when I came into contact with one particular female official I immediately thought of do it myself "You're the reason I've been through hell for the last three weeks." His uniform was wrinkled, the tab of his tie was dirty, and his hair was down and didn't look professional at all. My immediate perception of her was that Class 002 and all future recruits of the Court Officers Academy were undergoing vigorous training and were being groomed to phase out Court Officers like this woman I was interacting with. She may have been the most knowledgeable and committed person on duty that day, however she didn't look the part and so I had a negative perception of her and questioned her professionalism or ability to do a good job. On the other hand I saw a court official in a courtroom who was very well groomed; he was standing and clearly paying attention to everything that was happening in the courtroom. Without a doubt he looked professional, as if he commanded respect and was a person of authority. This was the perception that all court officials should have
