Shortly afterward, Lopez played a small role in Carl Reiner's thriller film. After playing this role, he finally had his first comedy album called Alien Nation, which appeared in 1996. From this point on, Lopez felt frustrated because he felt he wasn't doing well enough and wasn't performing as well as he hoped. But he didn't give up because of his vote. George regained his sense of purpose after a local comedy manager helped him. George Lopez is now climbing to the top of the totem pole and improving tremendously. In 1999 Lopez became the first Latino to host a major English-language radio program for Clear Channel Communications in the city of Los Angeles and was found to be at the top of the radio market. This was a big step for Lopez because most of the radio hosts were white or black and not Latino. He was in the top ten lists for best radio talk show host in the city. Meanwhile, while doing all the other great works, he released his second live cabaret album in 2001 and it was titled Right Now Right Now.
