In the repeated refrain, change the "I" to "you". “You're beautiful, no matter what they say / I can't bring you down” (lines 14-15). By changing the pronouns, the message is more direct to the viewer. Hearing yourself and someone else tell you that you are beautiful is most likely more effective than just one. Furthermore, to say that words can't bring me down is to imply how powerful words can be. Of course, harsh words will affect you more than kind words. For example, if someone calls you beautiful and another calls you ugly, you will probably believe that you are ugly. Unless you are extremely confident to the point that you don't care what others think or say about you, the words will hit you hard.
