While anyone can draw arguments using each model to prove their claims, I personally would use the cultural relativism model when dealing with these specific scenarios. Maybe it wouldn't be so difficult to deal with them if they didn't have their religious aspects, but there's nothing that can be done about it. I think that when dealing with rights that involve the protection of religion, one should aim for a more respectful nature rather than simple tolerance, even if some religious practices can be a little extreme. As long as they do not harm a community's group rights, I believe such practices should be fully permitted. We as a global community need to open our eyes to the customs of others and be more aware of culture. If we don't recognize that there is naturally less power in a minority group, how will we ever find a way to ensure a level playing field for all? Just like everything else in the world, we have to recognize the problems and circumstances of our situation before we can solve them, and I think cultural relativism is the model to use.
