When young people decide not to complete elementary school, they increase their risk of being incarcerated. Failure to achieve a comprehensive education could cause a domino effect in young people, leading them to crime or delinquent behavior. Delinquency is the commission of a crime or wrongful act by a minor or young person. In this society, education is important to increase the chances of obtaining higher pay or a decent job. Almost every job application asks for your educational background. If you find yourself in a situation where you cannot find a job, it is very likely that this will lead to criminal acts. Other important concerns that could lead to juvenile delinquency include peers, income, and authority figures. Studies have been conducted to determine if there is a correlation between dropping out of school and delinquency. The problem is that in areas where there are high insolvency rates there are also high abandonment rates. The question at hand is: is this solely due to young people dropping out of school or are there other problems that could lead young people into delinquency. Research has shown that there is an inverse correlation between school dropout and delinquency, but school dropout is not the only problem that will be addressed, colleagues and disputes between authorities will also be addressed when they lead to the cause of delinquency. Education If the school dropout rate is addressed, its outcome of delinquency can be discouraged. It is reported that most crimes such as robberies occur during the day, between 6 a.m. and 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. These are the times when the average home is vacant. It is possible to reduce crimes reported during these periods if the problem is addressed. The paper aims to provide an explanation as to why there is a correlation between delinquency and school dropout rates in communities.
