This essay will discuss the pros and cons of gun control. Some US states have already adopted some of these gun control laws. I'll talk about the 2nd Amendment, public safety, home security, and gun control laws that actually control guns. I hope that after reading this you will be more educated and able to choose your side in the gun control debate. So read on and learn more about the gun control laws that the federal government and some state governments want to impose on US citizens. Firearms are classified into three broad types of pistols, rifles, and shotguns. Rifles and shotguns are both considered "long guns." A semi-automatic gun fires a bullet every time the user pulls the trigger, it will also eject the empty bullet after firing and automatically load another bullet into the gun. An automatic weapon will fire more bullets as long as you hold the trigger. Gun control has been a topic in government legislation for years, although recently gun control has been pushed harder than ever. The main incident that started the fuss was the Sandy Hook school shooting in which guns are blamed for a troubled youth who killed six adults and twenty children.
