The Shoe Industry The shoe industry is one of the largest sources of income in the market, but it is facing many changes, rush and difficulties. The great power in the sector is Nike Inc. that all other companies are trying to resemble. Some changes are that the industry as a whole is moving factories there to the far east, like in China. The reason for this is that they are trying to save costs to produce shoes there by paying the workers there less because they are located in the far east. Nike and Reebok have been to the East before. The footwear industry, excluding Nike inc. he's trying to race to be number one, two and three. Another race that the industry is making is the one for the expiration of sports shoes. In other words, invent shoes for seasonal sports. The difficulties faced by the shoe industry are producing shoes that all people wear, establishing a style for both inner-city and suburban people. Another difficulty the shoe industry faces is getting the value of its shares to rise again because all shares, except those of Nike and Fila, have fallen. This is what the footwear industry is all about and the difficulties, problems and progress it presents. There are four main companies in the footwear industry. The dominant industry is Nike inc.. Then, moving forward, there are Reebok, Fila and Adidas. Nike, being the superpower, has been ahead of all other industries for many years. Right now Reebok is the closest company to Nike and is $2,459 behind in MIL value. Nike's earnings in the latest quarter rose 24%, which pleased WallStreet investors. With those gains, Nike announced a 2-for-1 stock split, its second in many years. Nike and Reebok are way ahead of other companies because there are already factories in the Far East and other companies are just starting to build them. With Nike's earnings being so high, it will be very difficult for any company to take first place. Furthermore, it will be difficult to get people's support for these products because most people trust Nike. Reebok number two in the industry is facing many problems. First, there is friction among Reebok's management roles. Second, Reebok has trouble finding sports stars to endorse its products. Finally, Reebok stock fell and continues to fall. The reason for this is that people don't prefer shoes because of how they look and how comfortable they are.
