Topic > Foreclosure Essay - 1214

In the United States we face many problems such as poverty, death, health and many more. But the problem that currently affects society the most is foreclosure. What is foreclosure? How has it affected society? The definition of foreclosure is a legal or professional proceeding held by a lien holder which is a court order terminating the equitable right of redemption among residential properties. The foreclosure not only affected us financially, but it also affected the company physically. Statistics show that due to foreclosure, homicide rates, homelessness, and vacant properties have increased dramatically just this year. The financial crisis is affecting the health of the economy and fueling the recession. This has created many problems for middle-class workers and low-income families. It targets those groups of individuals because their financial background is not up to the mark of being financially stable, which later leads to them falling behind in payments and things like that. Statistics also show that millions of Americans spend an unexplained share of their income. Over 30% for housing and persistent inequality in housing and employment opportunities has declined. This has created a significantly lower homeownership rate for African American and Latino families. Many people believe that mortgage rates in America are threatening homeowner confidence. I firmly believe this statement is true because, seeing what foreclosure has done to the American economy, it tends to drain and upset the state of mind of a person striving to achieve what they want. It crushes them mentally, which later leads to pain and sadness on an emotional level. The data shows how foreclosures have doubled since the summer... middle of the paper... and that these three solutions can be a leading source to help those in desperate need of financial help. I also believe that these plans can play an important role in developing a better economy and society for slum and middle-class communities. It will lift up a lot of neighborhoods and people and show that we can do something about this problem. Instead of sitting back and watching the problem get worse, we need to deal with the problem at hand. This problem has affected many families in many different ways. We need to get control of this situation before it gets out of hand. So, once again, I believe that plans like the ones I have explained should be looked at by the government and should be approved. I am confident that it can contribute to a dramatic change in our economy and can develop a safer and more comfortable society in which the American people live..
