Every Friday during football season, my father and his brother take the place of their mother, grandmother, and wives and place them in the bleachers high up on the fifty-yard line. My grandmother has sat in the exact same seat for as long as I can remember and hasn't missed a game, she's 82 years old. Another tradition is that my father and brother go to the same place for breakfast every Friday morning. If we're not at the beach for the Fourth of July, we're up in the press box at the football field watching the fireworks. Another family tradition that is my absolute favorite is Thanksgiving, my family meets at Nana's house for lunch. After lunch we used to play football outside until all the dads got too big, but now we all lie down and watch football for a while. Then the kids go off to paint the high school football field if we're still up for grabs. The women stay and look at the Black Friday deals. These family traditions may not seem like a big deal to others, but I cherish those moments with my family more than anything in the world
