Diagnostic Essay Electrical Engineering is the major I am pursuing throughout my college career. I decided to pursue this specialization because it is a career that requires knowledge in other subjects, it is a career that changes often and every day provides a person with new problems to solve. My decision to become an electrical engineer was not a random decision. decision I made too long ago. It's something I decided to pursue when I entered a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) high school. It was then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with computers and building circuits, and that this career involved many subjects. By doing a lot of research to better understand what it meant to be an Electrical Engineer, I discovered that to be successful in this career you need to know a little bit of everything. In other words, subjects like science and mathematics are essential to knowing if someone wants to become a successful electrical engineer. An electrical engineer is someone who finds practical solutions to everyday problems involving electricity, such as computers, cell phones, among other electrical equipment. To create a useful device you need to know where to start and that's where science comes in. An electrical engineer must be able to use the scientific method, which means; you need to come up with a procedure, test it and write a conclusion. These parts of the scientific method need to be written clearly, so that others can recreate and test a device or design. Mathematics also plays a fundamental role in this area of study, because you need to be precise when creating a new device that will be used by others. For example, if you were to create a new type of cell phone, you would have to know a lot of mathematics to be able to program... middle of paper... to find the right one, it gave me an indescribable sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. An electrical engineer faces many challenges like these, but it is worth it because once the program, device or circuit works properly and is used by many people for different purposes, one feels accomplished and is ready to try a new challenge with a greater sense of self-esteem. I know that the specialization I chose as an electrical engineer is not easy, but I also know that this is the best solution for me and that I chose the right one. Not only can I contribute to the ever-changing society we live in, but I also face new challenges every day, which is exciting because it means that in my career every day is different and I love taking on a new challenge, which will improve my knowledge and make me a better electrical engineer.
