Topic > Team Cohesion Case Study - 1181

Being able to come together as a team, putting aside individual differences, is extremely important to team success. A group is a collection of people who are together and all work, while a team works together to achieve a common goal (Pauschmann, 2012). When measuring cohesion you need to have a common goal. If all team members try to achieve different results, a high level of conflict will occur. However, if the team leader sets a goal for everyone, which all team members agree on, then conflict levels will decrease and the team will come together to achieve their goals.
