In ancient times, fakes were commonplace. The New Testament is no exception to forgeries, having perhaps as many as 11 of 27 books falsified. We will examine in particular two Deutero-Pauline books to establish whether they have been falsified or not: Colossians and Ephesians. In the field of biblical criticism, there is no clear consensus on whether Colossians and/or Ephesians are falsified, yet we will argue for the falsification of both books. First, we will look at the most questionable work of the Colossians. Among Bible scholars, more people believe that the text of Ephesians was forged than that of Colossians. Colossians presents similarities between authentic Pauline works such as Romans and Galatians. The formatting of the text seems to match Paul's writings and the end of the letter also sounds similar.
